§ 98.069 BOAT RULES.
   It shall be unlawful for any person to:
   (A)   Operate any boat or craft not properly licensed by the State of Illinois and not equipped with approved and specified equipment.
   (B)   Operate any boat not properly registered with the city.
   (C)   Operate any boat or craft at a speed in excess of “no wake” between sunset and sunrise.
   (D)   Operate any boat or craft at a speed in excess of 45 m.p.h. between the hours of sunrise and sunset.
   (E)   Operate any hydroplane, jet ski or air propeller driven boat or craft.
   (F)   Operate a boat having a muffler cutout or any device that operates to discharge exhaust gases of any motor or engine, without such gases passing through an efficient muffler.
   (G)   Operate any boat or craft in a hazardous and reckless manner that endangers persons or property or creates a public nuisance.
   (H)   Operate any boat or craft of another person(s) if the boat or craft has been ordered off of the reservoirs for any period.
   (I)   Operate any boat or craft if under 16 years of age unless accompanied by an adult.
   (J)   Operate any boat or craft within 100 feet of a spillway.
   (K)   Operate any boat or craft at any time within 200 feet of the shoreline in excess of “no wake” speed.
   (L)   Be under the influence of alcoholic beverages or narcotic drugs while operating or being a passenger in any boat or craft.
   (M)   Be a child without a life jacket on in a boat or craft, if under 13 years of age.
   (N)   Operate, propel or use any internal combustion engine or motor on any boat or craft on the reservoirs between the hours of sunset and sunrise operating at greater than “no wake” speeds.
   (O)   Operate, propel or use any boat or craft propelled by an engine or motor in racing or practicing for racing events unless approved by the Parks and Recreation Director or his or her designee.
   (P)   Nothing herein shall be construed as permitting any boat or craft to be operated at a speed greater than is safe and prudent under the circumstances and the operator thereof shall observe all signs and other regulations placed by the Parks and Recreation Department on or near the reservoirs.
