It shall be the duty of the Health Officer from time to time, and as often as once a month between May 1 and October 1 of each year, to visit and inspect all slaughter and packing houses, poultry houses, bone or soap factories, lard, tallow, or other renderies, or other like establishments within the jurisdiction of the city and to prosecute or cause to be prosecuted all persons violating any of the provisions of this chapter.
