§ 90.23 IMPOUNDMENT.
   (A)   It shall be the duty of the agency providing animal impoundment services and all police officers to take up all dogs and cats running at large and to otherwise enforce this chapter.
   (B)   The agency providing animal impoundment services shall immediately upon receiving any dog or cat at the pound enter in a registry kept for that purpose a description of the dog or cat and whether or not it is licensed. If licensed, he or she shall enter the name and address of the owner or keeper, and he or she shall keep a licensed animal separated from unlicensed animals. Notice shall be given to the registered owner or keeper of any animal known to be licensed.
