(A) Salaries of city officers and employees shall be as established by ordinance.
(B) All salaries of officers and employees of the city shall be paid every other Friday, unless provision is made to the contrary, by the City Council. The City Clerk shall prepare changes to payroll every other week, which when signed by the City Administrator or commissioner in charge, the Clerk shall authorize the issuance of checks for the salaries indicated to be due. Deductions as provided by law shall be made for pension funds, social security, withholding tax (income tax), insurance, and also for voluntary deductions as authorized by employees.
