For homes, businesses and industries using metered water from the system, metered water usage (corrected where applicable for water consumption or loss to storm drains) shall be the basis for determination of wastewater discharge quantities. Industries with private water supplies or industries for which metered use of public water is not directly related to wastewater discharge shall furnish and install meters, and charges shall be based upon metered discharge from that industry. Industrial meters for wastewater so installed shall be approved by the city and shall be available to city employees for routine readings.
