Sec. 82-68. Notice of violation.
(a)   If the Authority has reason to believe that there is a violation of the provisions of this division, a notice of violation may be issued to the violator or the owner, lessee or occupant of the premises in which the violation is located. A person who is issued a notice of violation shall have the number of days specified in the notice of violations to correct and eliminate the violation; however, the violator shall in no instance be given greater than 60 days to correct or eliminate the violation, unless specifically approved otherwise by the Authority.
(b)   Notice of violations issued by the Authority shall:
   (1)   Be in writing.
   (2)   Include a statement of the violations and the remedial action required.
   (3)   Specify the number of days within which correction or elimination of the violation must occur.
   (4)   Indicate that a plumbing permit be secured for the plumbing portion of the necessary corrections.
   (5)   Be served upon the owner, lessee, or occupant as the case may require.
(c)   Such notice shall be deemed to be properly served upon such owner, lessee, or occupant, if a copy thereof is personally served; if a copy thereof is sent by registered or certified mail; if a copy thereof is posted in a conspicuous place in or about the premises affected by the notice; or if service of such notice is made by any method authorized or required under the laws of this state.
