Nothing contained in this division shall be deemed to nullify any provision of the Michigan plumbing code or any other statute or legally adopted ordinance or code of the city. In any case where a provision of this division is found to be in conflict with a provision of any state statute or any other legally adopted ordinance or code of the city, the provision which establishes the higher standard for the promotion and protection of the health and safety of the people shall prevail.
