Sec. 82-2. Abbreviations.

The following abbreviations shall have the designated meanings:

BOD shall mean Biochemical Oxygen Demand.

CFR shall mean Code of Federal Regulations.

COD shall mean chemical oxygen demand.

CWA shall mean Clean Water Act.

EPA shall mean Environmental Protection Agency.

l shall mean liter.

mg shall mean milligrams.

mg/l shall mean milligrams per liter.

ND shall mean no detectable trace (less than method detection limit).

NPDES shall mean National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System.

POTW shall mean publicly owned treatment works.

REU shall mean residential equivalent unit.

SIC shall mean Standard Industrial Classification.

SIU shall mean significant industrial user.

SWDA shall mean Solid Waste Disposal Act, 42 USC 6901 et seq.

TSS shall mean total suspended solids.

USC shall mean United States Code.
