Sec. 78-183. Required signals.
(a)   A person driving a bicycle upon a roadway before stopping, turning or changing lanes, shall give a signal as required in this section.
(b)   The signal required in this section shall be given either by means of the hand and arm in the manner specified, or by a mechanical or electrical signal device. When a signal is given by means of hand and arm, the cyclist shall indicate his intention to stop or turn as follows:
   (1)   Left turn, left hand and arm extended horizontally;
   (2)   Right turn, left hand and arm extended upward; or
   (3)   Stop or decrease speed, left hand and arm extended downward.
