§ 154.022 STREET LIGHTS.
   (A)   Basic street lighting may be provided by the village upon request at the intersection of street or alleys, at cul-de-sacs and at the terminus of dead-end streets. Decorative fixtures and poles may be provided by the subdivider at his or her expense. In multi-family dwellings or commercial subdivision, lighting shall be provided by the developer within parking areas at a minimum rate of one light per 25 parking spaces or any fraction thereof.
   (B)   The minimum lighting intensity of each streetlight shall be equivalent to a 175-watt lamp or 6,800 mercury luminary lamp. Each streetlight pole shall be at least 16 feet high.
   (C)   The Village Board may require decorative street lighting and poles to be provided by the subdivider and/or developer at his or her expense along specific streets and in certain areas of the village. Decorative street lighting and poles required to be installed by the village shall be furnished and installed in accordance with details and specifications on file in the village Public Works Department. Decorative street lighting and poles may be provided by the subdivider at his or her expense at the subdividers option in the areas where decorative lighting is not required by the village if the type and locations are approved by the Village Board.
