(A) Whenever possible, the building sewer shall be brought to the building at an elevation below the basement floor.
(B) In all buildings in which any building drain is too low to permit gravity flow to the public sewer, which is defined as having a vertical distance of less than three feet from the top of the sewer line to the lowest floor elevation or basement floor elevation shall require sanitary sewage carried by the building drain to be pumped by a means which is approved by the superintendent and discharged to the building gravity sewer. The pump discharge piping shall have a check valve installed.
