§ 33.021 OFFICE OF CHIEF CREATED; DUTIES.

(A) There is hereby established the office of the Chief of Police. The Chief of Police shall be appointed by the Mayor with the advice and consent of the Village Board.

(B) The Chief of Police shall keep records and make reports concerning the activities of his or her Department as may be required. The Chief shall be responsible for the performance of the Police Department, of all its functions and all persons who are members of the Department shall serve subject to the orders of the Chief of Police.
