If any itinerant vendor holding a license under this article shall conduct the sale of goods, wares and merchandise in question by auction, nothing contained in this article shall be construed to conflict with the other provisions of this Code or other ordinances of the City requiring the assessment and payment of auctioneer's license tax or to alter, modify, amend or change any of the provisions of this Code or other ordinances of the City relating to the collection of a license tax from an auctioneer or the manner of conduct of sales by an auctioneer.
