All Knox Boxes shall be located within four feet of the entrance to a structure on the side of the building bearing the address and on the right side of the door at the most exterior wall. The height of the Knox Box shall be between sixty inches and seventy-two inches from the ground level. In the event the Knox Box cannot be placed on the exterior wall, the alternate location shall be within four feet to the right of the sprinkler room door between sixty inches and seventy-two inches from the ground level. Emergency contact information must be current, accurate and placed inside the Knox Box.
