(a) Except as otherwise provided in the Codified Ordinances, any person violating any of the provisions of this article, or failing or refusing to abide by and comply with rules or regulations promulgated to effectuate the provisions of this article, shall, upon conviction, be fined not less than five dollars ($5.00) nor more than one hundred dollars ($100.00) and costs, and for each second or subsequent offense, may be confined in the City jail for not exceeding thirty days, in addition to such fine.
(b) Each succeeding day a violation of this article exists shall constitute a new and separate offense.
