Any person who violates any provision of §§ 153.001 and 153.002 of this chapter shall, upon conviction, be punished by a penalty as provided in § 10.999(A) of this code of ordinances. In addition, a violation of §§ 153.001 and 153.002 of this chapter is a municipal infraction. In addition to the foregoing, the city’s Plumbing and Gas Inspector may order the removal, correction or disconnection of any gas or plumbing installation that does not meet code specifications and shall have the authority to disconnect the installation when it is found that it endangers life and health.
