Any contractor doing business in the incorporated or unincorporated areas of the county, working on a building project requiring a permit from the County Building Department or from an incorporated area building department, shall be required to register with the County Building Department.
(A) Registrants shall show proof by a certificate of insurance for general liability insurance maintained by the registrant.
(B) Registrants shall show proof of worker’s compensation insurance coverage or proof of a duly filed affidavit of independents contractor status with the state.
(C) Registrants shall provide a $20,000 license and permit bond for all incorporated and unincorporated areas of the county.
(D) Registrants shall pay a registration fee of $50, which fee shall cover a one-year period beginning on January 1 of each year and ending on December 31 of each year.
