§ 90.04 LICENSING AND VACCINATION.
   (A)   The owner of any dog six months old or older shall, on or before March 1 of each year or within 30 days of a dog becoming six months old, apply in writing to the Township Trustee where the owner resides for a license for each dog owned or kept by him or her. The application for each dog shall state the breed, sex, age, color and markings of such dog and the name and address of the owner. No license shall be issued for any dog unless the applicant exhibits proof of purchase of vaccination of the dog for rabies by a licensed veterinarian.
   (B)   Fees for leader dogs or dogs in training as such are hereby waived.
   (C)   Current dog licenses issued by other counties within the state and any other governmental agency shall be honored in the county until the following March 1.
   (D)   To be adopted, an animal must be properly licensed. Dogs must be spayed or neutered unless the animal is qualified for breeding purposes. No dog shall be released from the County Humane Society unless proof of license is presented.
   (E)   The County Humane Society may issue licenses as designated by the respective County Township Assessors. As designated, the Humane Society may retain $0.75 as a fee for that service and shall remit the balance of the money collected to the Township Trustee by the tenth day of each month.
