(A) All employees of the Street and Water Department will be paid at one and one-half their hourly rate of pay for all hours worked in excess of 40 hours in a workweek. It shall be the responsibility of the department supervisor to fairly and uniformly as possible distribute any required overtime. There shall be no compensatory time off.
(B) Hours worked do not include any vacation, sick days, personal days or any other days that an employee is off for any reason, other than city-observed holidays as described in § 35.20, bereavement days or jury duty.
(C) The Superintendent of the Street and Water Department forms executive and administrative responsibilities and is an exempt or non-covered employee under the Fair Labor Standards Act.
