§ 174.15 FIREWORKS.
   It shall be unlawful for any person to ignite or cause to be exploded fireworks or firecrackers of any description whatsoever, except sparklers, vesuvius fountains, spray fountains, torches, color fire cones, star and comet type color aerial shells without explosive charges for the purpose of making a noise, color wheels, lady fingers, not exceeding 7/8-inch in length or 1/8-inch in diameter, and which do not contain more than one half grain each in weight of explosive material; provided that the igniting and exploding of fireworks specifically permitted in the section shall be allowed only:
   (A)   Between June 24 and July 5 each year;
   (B)   Between December 28 and January 1 of each year; or
   (C)   By special permission of the governing body.
