361.13 STORAGE OF VEHICLES ON CITY STREETS.
   (a)   Definitions.
      (1)   “Store” shall mean to leave a vehicle on a street, sidewalk, or public alley for a period of longer than twenty-four (24) hours; to stop or park a vehicle on a street, sidewalk, or public alley for the purpose of making repairs or adjustments thereon by a garage or mechanic other than emergency repairs necessary to move a vehicle which has been temporarily stopped by a mechanical failure; the placing on a street, sidewalk, or public alley of a vehicle constituting a part of the inventory or stock of or under the control of a person in the business of dealing or trading in vehicles, for longer than one (1) hour; or the placing on a street, sidewalk, or public alley of any disabled or wrecked vehicle, or any vehicle not self-propelled and not actually in use for a period of longer than one (1) hour.
      (2)   “Vehicle” shall mean or refer to any motorized vehicle including, but not limited to a passenger vehicle, boat, trailer or motorhome.
   (b)   Storage of Vehicles on City Streets Forbidden. No person shall store any vehicle on the streets, sidewalks, or public alleys within the town; provided nothing in this section shall prohibit the owner of a passenger automobile from leaving the same in front of his residence as a part of the normal use thereof, so long as it shall not be a violation of this chapter.
   (c)   Penalty. Any vehicle stored in violation of this section may at the discretion of the Chief of Police be removed from said streets, sidewalk, or public alleys and stored.
