1-1-1: INCORPORATION:

The city of Marlow, Oklahoma, within the corporate limits as now established or as hereafter may be established, shall continue to be a municipal body politic and corporate in perpetuity under the name of the "City of Marlow, Oklahoma". It shall succeed to and possess all the property, rights, privileges, franchises, powers and immunities now belonging to the corporation known as the city of Marlow, Oklahoma, and shall be liable for all debts and other obligations for which the corporation is now legally bound. (1985 Code § 1-1)

1-1-2: FORM OF GOVERNMENT:

The municipal government provided for the city of Marlow shall be the form of government outlined in the Marlow city charter. All powers of the city shall be exercised in the manner prescribed by this city code, the city charter, future ordinances or state law; provided, that this code and all future ordinances are not repugnant to the state constitution and laws.
