For the purpose of this subchapter, the following definitions shall apply unless the context clearly indicates or requires a different meaning.
CONTRACTOR. An individual or organization that performs work contracted with another individual (owner) or organization.
HOMEOWNER. An individual that has purchased a property with intentions of making it his, her or their primary residence for a period over six months.
LANDLORD. A person who is the owner of a house, apartment, condominium, land or real estate which is rented or leased to an individual or business, who is called a tenant. See also PROPERTY INVESTOR.
PROPERTY DEVELOPER. A person or company that makes money by building houses or renovating existing properties for sale or rental.
PROPERTY INVESTOR. A group or individual that has purchased properties with the intentions of using the property as means of financial investments. He, she or they will not use the property as their primary residence for a period over six months.
TENANT. A person or group that rents and occupies land, a house, an office or the like from another for a period of time.
