§ 98.096 REMOVAL OF SNOW AND ICE.
   Every owner, lessee, tenant, occupant or other person, firm, corporation or other entity having charge of or control over any building or lot in the city which abuts upon any public way for pedestrian traffic, commonly referred to as a sidewalk, shall remove the snow and ice or combination thereof from such sidewalk. In the event that such snow or ice or combination thereof has become frozen and is incapable of removal without damage to the pavement, the person or entity having charge or control of such building or lot as described in this section shall cause the accumulation to be placed in removable condition or melted by the application thereto of salt or chemical compounds which will not cause damage to the pavement.
