No work involving the construction of any public improvement under this subchapter shall be engaged in before the hour of 8:00 a.m. or after the hour of 5:00 p.m., nor at any time on Sundays without the written permission of the Superintendent of Public Works or without notifying the Inspector assigned to the particular improvement.
