§ 51.062 SPECIFICATIONS FOR CONSTRUCTION OF FIRE HYDRANTS.
   All fire hydrants installed in the city, shall comply with the following specifications.
   (A)   Hydrants shall have two two and one-half-inch hose connections and one four and one-half-inch steamer connection.
   (B)   Threads shall be National Standard fire threads.
   (C)   Hydrants must be provided with a drain mechanism so that the entire barrel drains down to the level of the valve seat when shut off.
   (D)   All parts must be of sufficient strength to withstand a 300-pound water test when assembled.
   (E)   A six-inch sleeve shall be installed on the hydrant base. A six-inch auxiliary valve shall be connected to the sleeve and water main.
