(A) It shall be unlawful for any person, firm, corporation, business, resident, agency or entity, whether a customer of the city’s Water Department or not, to engage in any non-essential and unnecessary outside water use. Water use will constitute an unnecessary use if it is being used in a non-traditional way that is contrary to the use of the majority of the residents in the city.
(B) (1) It shall be unlawful for any person, firm, corporation, business, resident, agency or entity, whether a customer of the city’s Water Department or not, to engage in lawn sprinkling during the period from May 15 to September 15 of each year, except during the hours of 6:00 p.m. to 12:00 a.m.
(2) The outside use of water permitted by this subchapter shall be further restricted in the following manner: those premises assigned even address numbers shall be allowed the restricted outside use of water only on even numbered calendar days and those premises assigned odd address numbers shall be allowed the restricted outside use of water only on odd numbered calendar days. Violators shall be subject to a fine for each violation. The determining address number shall be the last digit of the property address and not the street, drive or place number in the address.
(C) It shall be unlawful for a property owner, agent or occupant to continue water service to premises in the name of a person who has vacated the premises or in the name of a deceased person. All water service must be in the name of the current owner(s) or commercial tenant of the premises.
