10-14-2: DEFINITIONS:
 
INTERMODAL SHIPPING CONTAINER:
A.   A large metal rectangular box used to transport goods and manufactured products, adapted to several modes of transport.
B.   For purposes of this Section shall also mean any fully or partially enclosed domestic container, pod, unit, or structure designed or constructed for the storage, loading, unloading, shipping, transport, movement, or placement therein of any goods and personal property and which can be transported or moved to or from a site by a vehicle or is otherwise mobile and which is not permanently affixed.
C.   The following shall be excluded from this Section:
   1.   Any plastic or metal receptacle with a capacity less than two (2) cubic yards that is designed for the purpose of collecting quantities of trash or garbage;
   2.   Any stationary semi-trailer unit that is not connected to a truck tractor;
   3.   Any portable storage container that is placed, maintained, or used by the Marion Fire Department; or
   4.   Any portable building so defined and falling under the scope of Section 10-1-9 of this Code.
SEASONAL BUSINESS USE PERIOD:
A period of time not to exceed ninety (90) consecutive calendar days and not more than twice per calendar year where one or more portable storage containers are placed, maintained, stored, or used on property with a C-1 District (Commercial) or C-2 District (Commercial) zoning classification for the purpose of displaying for retail sale to the general public flowers, plants, shrubbery, or landscaping merchandise, goods, materials, or products.
