The 2018 edition of the International Fire Code and the 2015 edition of NFPA 101, life safety code are hereby adopted by reference. Fire sprinklers for one and two-family homes will remain a recommendation only and the fire sprinkler requirements for existing high-rise buildings and existing assembly occupancies, which have been in effect since 2002, will continue to be used in lieu of those found in the 2015 NFPA 101 edition.
One copy of each shall be on file in the office of the fire chief. Any person who violates any of the provisions of the codes adopted herein shall be subject to a fine of not less than fifty dollars ($50.00) nor more than seven hundred fifty dollars ($750.00). If any violation of a provision or provisions of this section shall continue, each day of violation shall constitute a separate offense. (2013 Code; amd. Ord. 3652, 9-14-2020)
