10-1-6: CERTAIN DEVELOPMENTS RESTRICTED NEAR RESIDENTIAL AREAS:

A. Mining: There shall not be allowed in the City, nor within the sphere of area that Marion may regulate beyond its City limits, any development of a mine, whether underground or above ground, within one mile of any area zoned Residential within the City.

B. Landfills: There shall not be allowed in the City, nor within the sphere of area that Marion may regulate beyond its City limits, any development of a landfill of any type, within one mile of any area zoned Residential within the City. (Ord. 2202, 5-27-2008)
