A. Inspection Of Buildings And Plans: The Code Enforcement Officer shall be allowed access to all buildings being constructed, renovated or repaired at all reasonable times; and upon his request, he shall be allowed to review any and all building plans and construction drawings or documents, which said plans and construction documents shall be furnished for inspection by the owner and/or by any and all contractors engaged in the construction, renovation or repair. B. Fee For Inspection:
1. There shall be an inspection fee charged which shall be payable at the time of issuance of the building permit and a fee for each re-inspection after first inspection. Motels and hotels shall be considered as a multifamily complex. All commercial and industrial construction shall require an inspection fee also payable at the time of issuance of the building permit. The fee for inspection of a structure to be demolished shall also be paid where applicable. All inspection fees shall be in such amounts as may be set by the Council by motion or resolution. Any construction or remodeling that requires an additional inspection under this paragraph due to unsatisfactory completion of the initial inspection or the inability to meet the deadline for the first inspection shall be subject to a fee of fifty dollars ($50.00) per each re- inspection. 2. Exclusions: This subsection shall not apply to completed structures as of the effective date hereof. This subsection shall not apply to new residential construction. "New residential construction" means any original construction of a single-family home or a dwelling containing two (2) or fewer apartments, condominiums, or townhouses. (Ord. 2343, 4-25-2011; amd.
