A. Permit Required: No person, firm or corporation shall, within the corporate limits of the city, wilfully injure or tear up any public pavement, sidewalk, fireplug or any part thereof, or dig any hole, ditch or drain in such public pavement or sidewalk, or dig or remove any sod, stone, earth, sand or gravel from any public street, alley or sidewalk within the city without first having obtained the written permission of the superintendent of streets to do so. B. Malicious Damage Prohibited: No person shall wilfully and maliciously tear up, injure, deface or destroy any public sidewalk, curbing, street paving, street surface, fire alarm, sewer, drain, bridge, or culvert within the corporate limits of the city. (1977 Code § 9.36.020)
