10-15-5: SIGNS PROHIBITED:
The following signs shall be prohibited:
   A.   Billboards, other than those lawfully existing or permitted on the effective date of this chapter, which shall continue to be subject to Section 10-15-4 (D) of Ord. 3842. No prior existing non-conforming static billboard shall be converted to digital.
   B.   Any sign larger than twenty-five (25) square feet on property that is vacant, used for residential or agricultural purposes or located in a residential zoning district.
   C.   Any sign extended eight (8) feet or higher on property that is vacant, used for residential or agricultural purposes or located in a residential zoning district.
   D.   Any sign larger than three hundred (300) square feet on a property that is used for commercial or industrial purposes along the major road, as defined herein, or larger than two hundred (200) square feet on said property elsewhere.
   E.   Any sign that extends thirty (30) feet or higher on property that is used for commercial or industrial purposes, except any sign located along a major road, as defined herein.
   F.   Signs attached to the roof of a building or structure.
   G.   Any sign attached to a utility pole, tree, streetlight pole or street or traffic sign.
   H.   No sign shall be constructed that obstructs the visual clearance needed for safe vehicular and pedestrian traffic.
   I.   No portion of a permanent sign shall extend past the city street right of way line. (Ord. 3842, 11-28-2022)
