6-1-4: MANDATORY RETIREMENT AGE:
   A.   Established: There is established a mandatory retirement age for all police officers and firefighters now in the service of the city and for all police officers and firefighters who may hereafter enter the service of the city. (1977 Code § 2.68.010)
   B.   Designated: The age at which such police officers and firefighters must retire from the service of the city is designated to be sixty five (65) years. (1977 Code § 2.68.020)
   C.   Time For Retirement: Any police officer or firefighter shall be retired effective at the close of the first regular pay period after such police officer or firefighter reaches his sixty fifth birthday. (1977 Code § 2.68.030)
