(A) The Mayor may declare a snow emergency when weather conditions exist or threaten to exist that may substantially impede the free flow of traffic on city streets as a result of an accumulation of snow or ice.
(B) No person shall, within two hours after the declaration of a snow emergency by the Mayor, park or cause a vehicle to remain upon any street designated as a snow emergency route.
(C) The following streets are designated as snow emergency routes.
(1) 1st Street from Adams Street to Washington Street.
(2) 2nd Street from Delphi Avenue to west city limits.
(3) 3rd Street from Baldwin Avenue to Western Avenue.
(4) 3rd Street from Delphi Avenue to Pennsylvania Avenue.
(5) 4th Street from East Third Street (SR 18) to Norton Avenue.
(6) 9th Street from Alabama Avenue to Nebraska Street.
(7) 14th Street from McClure Street to Nebraska Street.
(8) 29th Street from Adams Street to Washington Street.
(9) 30th Street from Home Avenue to Western Avenue.
(10) 45th Street from Adams Street to Washington Street.
(11) Adams Street from First Street to 38th Street.
(12) Bradford Street from the east city limits to Washington Street.
(13) Delphi Avenue from Third Street to Second Street.
(14) Jeffras Avenue from Baldwin Avenue to Wabash Avenue.
(15) Nebraska Street from Spencer Avenue to South Washington Street.
(16) Spencer Avenue from Miller Avenue to Washington Street.
(17) Wabash Avenue from Baldwin Avenue to Spencer Avenue.
(18) Washington Street from the north city limits to South Western Avenue.

(D) The City Engineer shall cause signs to be erected and maintained on streets designating them as snow emergency routes.
(E) A snow emergency shall remain in effect until canceled by the Mayor.
(F) In addition to the above snow emergency routes, the Mayor may designate any other city street or streets as snow emergency routes after a snow emergency has been declared.
(G) The City Police Department may remove or cause to be removed, at the owner’s expense, any vehicle remaining on a snow emergency route after the declaration of a snow emergency.
(H) Any person who shall park or cause a vehicle to remain on any snow emergency route in violation of this schedule shall be deemed guilty of an ordinance violation and, upon conviction, shall be fined as determined by § 10.99. Each day a violation continues shall constitute a separate and distinct offense.

(A) The city establishes and designates certain public highways which, as the most frequently traveled, are preferential highways. All other highways intersecting any preferential highway shall be clearly marked at each intersection with stop or yield signs to warn all vehicles using the intersecting highway to stop or yield before crossing the preferential highway, as required by I.C. 9-21-1 et seq.

(A) Truck routes. No drivers of freight-carrying vehicles of one ton capacity or more, except vehicles having origin or destination in this city, shall operate or drive those vehicles over that portion of streets and parts of streets designated by the City Traffic Engineer, with the approval of the City Traffic Commission, and set forth in this schedule.
(B) Truck parking restrictions. Freight-carrying vehicles of one ton capacity or more shall not park within any congested area of the city. However, those vehicles may park in those areas to load and unload freight between the hours of 6:00 p.m. and 11:00 a.m.
(C) Truck loading zones. The following zones are hereby established as truck loading zones for the purposes of division (B) of this section.
(D) Truck routes and restrictions.
(1) For the purposes of this schedule, truck means a vehicle of more than one ton capacity.
(2) Trucks traveling into, through or out of this city shall do so only upon the following streets or parts thereof and shall not enter upon or cross the following described bridges.
(3) All trucks shall stay on state highways or designated truck routes except for necessary deviations from these routes for pick-up or delivery.
(4) Truck routes:
(a) All state highways;
(b) West 16th Street: Miller Avenue to Western Avenue;
(c) 18th Street: Adams Street to Washington Street;
(d) East 18th Street: from Adams Street to McClure Street;

(A) No person shall park, stand or stop a vehicle in any off-street parking space provided by the city and the Marion Development Committee in violation of the directions of any parking meter governing that space.
(B) This section shall govern the following off-street parking facilities:
(1) East of Washington Street between 4th and 5th Streets;
(2) The southeast corner of Fifth and Boots Streets.
(C) Any person who violates any provision of this schedule shall be deemed to have committed an ordinance violation and shall be fined as determined in § 10.99; provided however, if the fine is not paid within 15 days from the date of issuance, then the fine shall be as determined by § 10.99, and if the fine is not paid within 30 days from the date of issuance, then the fine shall be as determined by § 10.99.
(D) When any fine is collected under this schedule, $3 of that fine shall be deposited in the City General Fund and the remainder shall be deposited in the Parking Enforcement Fund established by this title.
