EDITOR’S NOTE: The Director of Public Safety and Service is authorized to enter into an Agreement on behalf of the City, with the Board of Commissioners of Washington County, Ohio,for services to be rendered to the City by the Washington County Building Department for the issuance of residential and commercial building permits and various permits related thereto, for the provision of building inspection and administrative services necessary for the enforcement of the various rules and regulations pertaining to the issuance of said permits, and for the provision of a variety of other administrative services generally related to the erection, construction, repair, alteration and maintenance of all buildings or classes of buildings within the City according to the terms and conditions of the Agreement attached to Ordinance 128(08-09) as Exhibit A, which terms and conditions are hereby adopted and approved.
During the pendency of said Agreement, the operation of Section 1309.03 establishing various building permit fees shall be suspended so that the Washington County Building Department may charge, collect and retain the fees established by it for such purposes.
(a) Fees for the erection, construction, enlargement, alteration, repair or demolition of any building or structure shall be as follows:
Residential Structures - New construction and enlargement of existing structures | $10.00 plus $5.00 for 100 square feet or fraction thereof. |
Storage sheds less than 200 square feet and mobile homes | $10.00 plus $2.50 for each 100 square feet or fraction thereof. |
Alterations to existing structures | $20.00 |
Satellite dishes and antennas | $10.00 |
Demolition of existing structures | $10.00 |
(b) In addition to the fees set forth above, the City Engineer before issuing any permit shall charge and collect fifty dollars ($50.00) as a penalty is every case where work has actually commenced in a residentially zoned district prior to the issuance of a permit and one hundred dollars ($100.00) as a penalty in every case where work has actually commenced in a commercially zoned or manufacturing zoned district prior to the issuance of the permit.
