§ 54.35 UNAUTHORIZED WIRES, AND THE LIKE, IN STREETS.
   It shall be unlawful for any person, firm, or corporation, or for any agent or servant of any person, firm, or corporation to lay, string, or maintain or cause to be laid, strung or maintained any wire, pipe, subway, conduit, or other appliance of construction on, under, or over the surface of any street or public place, except as duly authorized according to law. Each day that any such unauthorized appliance of construction is permitted to remain shall constitute a separate offense.
