§ 54.33 REMOVING SUBSURFACE ENCROACHMENTS WHEN BUILDING IS WRECKED.
   Whenever a building with appurtenant facilities or encroachments within the street right-of-way is wrecked or removed, the owner shall remove all such appurtenant encroachments or facilities and fill in and restore the space previously occupied by them, to conform to the adjacent street and pavement. In case the owner shall fail to make such removal and restoration, the Mayor shall be authorized and directed to cause the same to be done and to charge the cost of the same against the owner in the same manner as provided in the case of the removal of encroachments interfering with street construction.
