§ 54.16 RESTORATION OF PAVEMENT.
   (A)   Where openings have been or are to be made in a street, the Building Commissioner shall provide for the restoration of the street pavement in one of the following ways:
      (1)   The entire work of restoration, including both paving surface and paving bases, may be performed directly by the village after the permittee has completed the back fill;
      (2)   The paving surface may be installed by the village after the permittee has made the back fill and installed the proper base;
      (3)   The work may be done either completely as in this division (A) or as to paving surface only, as in division (B) below, by a village contractor or County Engineer duly authorized by a contract with the village; or
      (4)   The entire work of restoration may be done by the permittee.
   (B)   In all cases, the entire work shall be carried out under the direction of and to the satisfaction of the Mayor and Building Commissioner, and in accordance with rules, regulations, and specifications approved by the Village Engineer.
