The Mayor, Building Commissioner, and other officers of the village may abate or remove or prevent the continuance or occupancy of any unlawfully erected building, structure or part thereof in the manner provided in the Building Code relative to buildings erected without a building permit. The Village Solicitor shall be authorized to bring appropriate proceedings to enjoin the erection of any such building, structure, or part.
