§ 153.09 RESTORATION OF UNIMPROVED SURFACES; HEAVILY TRAVELED ROADWAY: CLASS 5.
    After the backfilling has been completed to a point 12 inches below finished grade, the remainder of the opening shall be completely filled in two six-inch courses with broken concrete, broken stone, broken hard vitrified brick or tile, or other approved material. Each course shall be thoroughly compacted by rolling or by tamping if rolling is not practicable. At least 60% of broken or fractured materials used for such paving shall be from two inches to four inches in size. Material exceeding four inches shall be rejected. The surface shall be neatly finished with clean screenings and shall conform to the grade of the roadway adjacent to the opening.
