§ 153.07 TEMPORARY RESTORATION.
   (A)   When alternate backfill methods A or B in § 153.06(B)(5) and (B)(6) are satisfactorily followed, the permittee may elect to perform permanent restoration immediately, in which case no temporary restoration will be required.
   (B)   Where standard backfilling operations, as described in § 153.06, are followed, or where satisfactory backfill compaction is not obtained with alternate backfill methods A or B in § 153.06(B)(5) and (B)(6), the permittee shall provide a temporary pavement and maintain it until the permanent restoration is made. This temporary pavement may, in some cases, be accomplished by carefully replacing the old paving materials on the compacted backfill in the same order they occupied before removal. The top surface shall be neatly replaced with the interstices filled and leveled with fine dry material and with a crown of not to exceed one inch above the adjoining pavement. Loose material, which may be scattered over the pavement by traffic, will not be considered proper temporary restoration.
   (C)   When opening lies within a traffic lane, the permittee shall provide a temporary bituminous concrete surface.
