13.30.030: WASTING WATER PROHIBITED:
It shall be unlawful for any pressurized irrigation user to waste water by imperfect stop taps, valves, leaky joints or pipes, or to allow tanks or watering troughs to leak or overflow. Additionally water shall not be wasted by allowing water to run from hose bibs, open pipes, or other apparatus, or to use the water in such a manner as to cause it to overflow into the neighboring yards, property, streets or sidewalks, or in violation of the rules and regulations set forth by resolution for controlling the pressurized irrigation system service.
The city council may, by resolution, regulate, restrict, or limit the use of water during water shortage periods and shall have the power to take all necessary means to make any necessary regulations as circumstances may require to protect the users of the pressurized irrigation system. (1986 Code)
