1480.01 DEFINITIONS.
   As used in this chapter:
   (a)   "Portable pool" means a container for use as a "private swimming pool" or "wading pool" which may be dismantled, stored or moved from one place to another.
   (b)   "Private swimming pool" means any body of water or receptacle for water having an overflow depth at any point greater than 24 inches or having more than 200 square feet of surface area or water to a depth of 18 inches used or intended to be used for swimming or bathing, and constructed, installed or maintained in or above the ground and in buildings and used solely by the owners, lessees, tenants or occupants of premises thereof, and their families, and by friends invited to use it without payment of any fee.
   (c)   "Public swimming pool" means an artificial body of water, with a controlled water supply, used collectively for public or semipublic (private club or business) swimming or recreation bathing, but not including private swimming pools.
   (d)   "Wading pool" means any body of water or receptacle for water which does not qualify as a "private swimming pool" and which is not intended for public or semipublic use as mentioned in subsection (c) hereof.
