1476.01 GENERAL REGULATIONS.
   The following regulations shall govern the installation of outside gas lights:
   (a)   The minimum depth for the gas line shall be ten inches.
   (b)   Where tubing goes through a planned planting area, it shall be encased in a steel or plastic casing (polyvinylchloride or its equivalent).
   (c)   All copper tubing shall be protected from damage where exposed.
   (d)   If the distance from the house line pipe connection to the lamppost is thirty feet or less, one-quarter inch L-type copper tubing shall be used.
   (e)   In the case of a multiple lamp installation or where the distance is greater than thirty feet, larger sized copper tubing shall be used, depending on distance and load.
   (f)   No soldered fittings or joints shall be permitted.
   (g)   All copper tubing shall be reamed where cut.
   (h)   There shall be a shut-off valve connecting union.
   (i)   There shall be a shut-off valve and regulator on or within the pole.
   (j)   All gas light installations shall be inspected by the East Ohio Gas Company and a copy of such inspection certifying that the installation was made in compliance with this chapter shall be forwarded to the office of the Director of Service.
