1440.99 GENERAL CODE PENALTY.
   (a)   Any owner, contractor, architect, subcontractor, mechanic, firm, corporation or other person who or which violates or fails to comply with any of the provisions of this Building and Housing Code, for which no penalty is otherwise provided, is guilty of a misdemeanor of the first degree and shall be fined not more than one thousand dollars ($1,000) or imprisoned not more than six months, or both, for each offense. A separate offense shall be deemed committed each day during or on which a violation or noncompliance occurs or continues.
   (b)   The application of the penalty provided in subsection (a) hereof shall not prevent the City from taking such other lawful action as is necessary to prevent or remedy any violation, including the enforced removal of prohibited conditions.
