1290.06 SCHEDULE OF REQUIRED OFF-STREET PARKING

 

Residential
Building or Use in all Districts	Minimum Parking Space Required
A.   Single family dwellings	2 spaces per dwelling unit, 1 of which must be totally enclosed (garage).
A(1).   Two-family dwellings	4 spaces, 2 of which must be totally enclosed (garage).
B.   Multifamily dwellings	2 spaces per dwelling unit, 1 of which must be totally enclosed (garage).
C.   Hotels, motels, bed and breakfast	1 space per rental unit or suite plus one space establishments for each 400 square feet of public meeting area and/or restaurant space.

 

Institutions
Building or Use	Minimum Parking Space Required
D.   Club	1 space per 50 square feet of floor area.
E.   Community Social Service Facility	2 spaces per facility dwelling room.
F.   Hospitals	1 space per 2 beds.
G.   Clinics, health centers	1 space per 150 square feet of floor area.
H.   Libraries, museums	1 space per 400 square feet of floor area.
I.   Religious places of worship	1 space per each 4 seats in the auditorium and assembly room.
J.   Funeral homes, mortuaries	1 space per 50 square feet of assembly rooms, or 1 space for each 5 seats, whichever requires the greater number of spaces.
K.   Public buildings, municipal and educational institutions	1 space per 250 square feet of floor area, plus 1 space for each 5 seats in assembly rooms.

 

 

Amusements and Assembly
Building or Use	Minimum Parking Space Required
L.   Athletic/Play Fields	10 spaces per acre.
M.   Theaters, lodge halls, auditoriums, arenas, stadiums and other places of assembly	1 space per 4 seats in the building.
N.   Dance halls, skating rinks, swimming pools	1 space per 50 square feet of area used for dancing, skating or swimming.
O.   Bowling alleys	4 spaces per alley.
P.   All types of uses which include mechanical amusement devices	1 space per 50 square feet of floor area, or 1 space for every two machines, whichever requires the greater number of parking spaces.

 

Business (Small Development)
The following schedule shall apply if a unit of development or management comprises less than 100 feet of building frontage.)
Building or Use	Minimum Parking Space Required
Q.   Automobile Service Station	1 space per pump plus two spaces per service bay.
R.   Automobile Repair and Service	2 spaces per service bay.
S.   Drive In or Drive Through Facilities	5 stacking spaces per lane plus 1 space per 100 square feet if facility is entirely drive though.
T.   Medical and dental offices	1 space per 100 square feet of floor area.
U.   Retail stores, convenience store, financial institutions, personal service establishments	1 space per 200 square feet of floor area.
V.   Restaurants, bars, taverns	1 space per 50 square feet of floor area, or 1 space for each 2 seats, whichever requires the greater number of spaces.
W.   Veterinarian Facility	1 space per 250 square feet of floor area.

 

Business (Large Development)
(The following schedule shall apply if a unit of development or management comprises 100 feet of building frontage or more.)
Building or Use	Minimum Parking Space Required
X.   Assisted Living Facility	1 space per 2 rooms.
Y   All types of retail stores, services, eating places, bars, taverns, etc.	1 space per 250 square feet of floor area in development.
Z.   Commercial services, laboratories, storage, machine shops and similar establishments	1 space per 400 square feet of floor area.
AA.   Office (excluding medical and dental)	1 space per 200 square feet of floor area.
BB.    Manufacturing plants	1 space per 1,000 square feet of floor area.
CC.   Warehousing, Wholesale Activities	1 space per 2,000 square feet plus the office requirements for any accessory office space.
Other Buildings or Uses
DD.   For a specific building or use not scheduled above, the City Planning Commission shall apply the unit of measurement of the above schedule deemed to be most similar to the proposed building or use.
