For the purpose of this Zoning Code, certain terms or words used herein shall be interpreted as follows:
Words used in the present tense include the future; the singular number includes the plural and the plural the singular. The words "occupied" and "used", as applied to any building or premises, shall be construed as though followed by the words "or intended, arranged, or designed to be occupied or used." All distances are horizontal measurements unless otherwise specified. The word "shall" is mandatory, unless the natural construction of the wording indicates otherwise.
