1062.03 REGULATIONS FOR PARK AREAS.
   (a)   The following requirements shall be minimum regulations for the use and government of Municipal parks and may be supplemented with additional administrative regulations consistent therewith, in order to promote the maximum enjoyment of the City's facilities.
      (1)   Alcoholic beverages are prohibited in the parks.
      (2)   Bicycles, scooters and cars shall use only the parking area and roadways leading to the parks.
      (3)   Dogs are not permitted in the parks.
      (4)   Only City residents may use the parks and their facilities.
      (5)   The ball field may be used only when a written permit is obtained from the Director of Recreation or his or her authorized agent.
      (6)   The disposal of garbage, debris or waste on City park or recreation property is prohibited. This prohibition applies to all persons, companies or governmental agencies, including the City of Maple Heights.
      (7)   The parks shall only be open between the hours of dawn and dusk, except for Cunwillow Park (aka Home Street Park), the D.A.R.E. Park on Friend Avenue, and Southgate USA Park on Glenwood Avenue which will close at 8:00 p.m., or dusk, whichever is earlier.
      (8)   Whenever a threat to public health or safety exists in any park resulting from any natural cause, explosion, accident or any other cause, or by riot or unlawful assembly or activity, the Mayor may close the park or any part thereof to the public for such duration as the Mayor deems necessary to ensure the safety and well-being of the public.
   (b)   Administrative regulations, not inconsistent with subsection (a) hereof, for preservation of the facilities and for promotion of the maximum enjoyment thereof may be promulgated by the Mayor.
   (c)   The Mayor shall cause the regulations prescribed in subsection (a) hereof to be posted by a sign or signs in the parks.
