1042.09 NONACCEPTABLE WASTES; TREATMENT.
   (a)   The discharge of nonacceptable industrial wastes into the City sewerage system, whether directly or indirectly, is hereby prohibited. Where investigation reveals the presence in the system of nonacceptable industrial wastes emanating from any lot, land, building or premises located within or without the Southwest Sewer District, the owner, lessor, renter or occupant of such lot, land, building or premises shall treat, neutralize or in other ways prepare the noxious substance therein, to the satisfaction of the Director of Service, in order to convert the same into acceptable industrial wastes.

   (b)   Should such owner, lessor, renter or occupant neglect or refuse to comply with this requirement to the satisfaction of the Director of Service, the Director of Law shall seek an injunction to enjoin the continued discharge of nonacceptable industrial wastes into the City sewerage system. This remedy shall be in addition to the penalty provided in Section 1042.99.
